VA - Oslo we rot 2x7"

First of all! Does that picture remind you of anything?? If not, you are missing a big part of extreme music in general. Anyway. It has been long since I was (exclusively) into metal music, but the (dark) passion and love for good DEATH metal still  remains (and it will always be). So, here we have a 4-way split (coming in double EP package!!)in which they feature: Execration, Diskord, Lobotomized and Obliteration (all of them) from Norway. Death metal to the bone in other words.Starting with Execration, I hadn't heard from them anything before, but listening to their song at this split I must say that their death metal smacks you in the face like a bat. You can feel the Autopsy-like atmosphere spreading like cancer as the song goes on. This is true DEATH metal my friends. Next are Obliteration. What a great band that too. I had the luck to watch them live at Inferno festival (Oslo, Norway). Their DEATH metal simply can't leave you unmoved. Although the Autopsy parts exist, Obliteration leave you a taste of punk/thrash that makes death (metal) even more violent. Moving forward we' re coming against Lobotomized. Fuck! This is sweet. 3 songs (2 of them  are covers on Autopsy and The Mentors (!!) ) of pervert, old-school death metal! I won't say anything more, just listen. Lastly, we have Diskord, which I had watched them live too in Norway. Honestly, it's not my cup of tea. They've got some nice ideas and stuff, but these complicate-meets-disharmony riffs are getting on my nerves. I prefer it simple and raw. Despite this, it's worth of checking them out.
